Wicklow trio make PFAI Team of the Year

WITH a pair of First Division medals and a Golden Boot between them, three Co. Wicklow men took their place in the PFAI First Division Team of the Year.

UCD duo Liam Scales and Daire O’Connor (both Arklow) and Shelbourne’s Davy O’Sullivan - the division’s top scorer - all featured in the team announced on Tuesday afternoon by the PFAI; the players football association of Ireland.

The PFAI awards take place on November 10th.

O’Connor and Scales are expected to remain as Students as they return to the top flight whereas O’Sullivan is now a free agent as his deal with Shels has expired.
