PLAN FOR AREA OF DELL SITE ON CORNER OF BOGHALL AND VEVAY ROADS
NURSING HOME, SUPERMARKET AND MIXED-USE PROJECT SOUGHT
Planning applications have been made for the old Dell site, the old cash and carry building, and lands at the Southern Cross Road, all in Bray.
At the Dell site, on the corner of Boghall Road and Vevay Road, the applicant Aronvard Limited is looking for permission to build a four-storey nursing home. The nursing home would include 205 bedrooms. They would also build a four-storey office building including a ground floor café.
The site has been vacant since Dell relocated to Cherrywood in 2006.
A decision is due by December 17, with submissions to be made to Wicklow County Council by November 26,
The applicant ‘1 Southern Cross Lands Limited’ is looking for permission to build a 2,493 square metre supermarket.
That plan would include a new roundabout on Southern Cross Road. Submissions must also be made by November 26 for that application.
Glenveagh homes have made an application for the old cash and carry building opposite the Dart station. Glenveagh is the company responsible for building homes at Greystones Marina.
They are looking for permission to demolish all of the existing buildings on the site and build a mixed-use development ranging from four to six storeys.
The development would include 72 apartments, with 34 one bedroom, 36 two bedroom and two three bedroom units, as well as three ground floor retail units and one office unit.
The development would include 500 parking spaces. Submissions must be made to Wicklow County Council by November 22.
