Reg­gie Cor­ri­gan visits Open Door

REG­GIE Cor­ri­gan paid a visit to Open Door day cen­tre re­cently to present them with the pro­ceeds of his re­cent golf clas­sic.

Af­ter costs, a to­tal of €6,700 was raised through the event. The funds raised will go to­wards the many ac­tiv­i­ties avail­able for adults with phys­i­cal dis­abil­i­ties at Open Door.

‘Many thanks to all who sup­ported this event through spon­sor­ship, team en­try and do­na­tions,’ said Suzanne Cox of Open Door.

For­mer rugby in­ter­na­tional is a pa­tron and ded­i­cated sup­porter of Open Door.

The golf clas­sic took place in Septem­ber at Bray Golf Club. The win­ning team mem­bers were Ge­orge Hunter, Syl Fox, Ken O’Brien and Cyril Fox, with Reg­gie’s team com­ing sec­ond.

It was a great day of golf, fol­lowed with a meal, prize giv­ing, and en­ter­tain­ment with Syl Fox.

The Reg­gie Cor­ri­gan Open Door Golf Clas­sic takes place each year, and is al­ways a fun and up­lift­ing event.

Ac­tiv­i­ties at Open Door in­clud­ing phys­io­ther­apy, art, ce­ram­ics, wood­work and mu­sic.
