Christmas market

Bray People - - NEWS -

Bray Beach Boutique Christmas Market returns to Jim Doyle’s pub on Bray seafront on Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2.

The market will be open from 12 midday until 5 p.m. each day.

There will be a generous selection of the very finest, hand-picked seasonal stalls showcasing local art, craft, fashion, food and more.

There will be festive drinks at the bar and Christmas gifts in the beer garden. Admission is free.

Katie Taylor is universally acknowledged as the game-changer who put women’s amateur boxing on the map.

She won six amateur European championships, five world amateur championships and an Olympic Gold Medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

But a devastating year – both personally and professionally – culminated when she failed to defend her Olympic crown with a surprising defeat at Rio 2016.

‘Katie’ is an intimate take on the boxer’s efforts to rebuild her career and her life following that disappointment.

Whitaker had unprecedented access to the boxer as she turned professional.

Tickets are €8 or €6.50 concession and available at mermaidartscen peaceful existence, except when terrorised by violent former boxer Simone. Believing that he can befriend and pacify this local thug, Marcello gets caught up in a world of petty crime and drugs, a mistake that will have far-reaching consequences for him.

Acclaimed Italian director Matteo Garrone (Gomorrah, Tale of Tales) returns with this latest film – a powerful atmospheric, gripping drama, which won the Best Actor Prize at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
