Lions quizzes off to flying start

WICKLOW Lions Club got their annual quiz night series off to a flying start in Phil Healy’s Pub in Wicklow last Wednesday.

The huge turnout of 19 tables created a wonderful atmosphere in the venue with very good scoring from all teams. Ethna Neiland’s team came out on top with a very high score.

The proceeds of last weeks quiz will be divided between Wicklow RNLI and St Patrick’s NS.

Tonight ( Wednesday November 14), the Lions quiz team will set up in Chester’s in Ashford in aid of Ashford ICA and Nun’s Cross National School, starting at 8.30 p.m. sharp.

On November 21 the quiz will take place in The Forge in Wicklow town when the local Lions will support M.Y.T.H. and St Patrick’s GAA Juveniles. The following week, Educate Together and Rathnew Guides will be out in force in The Mariner in Wicklow.

The Lions committee would like to thank Wicklow Credit Union for it’s support with pens which are always remain in big demand.
