EXPRESSIONS of interest are being sought by Local Enterprise Office Wicklow over the possibility of running a ‘Lean for Micro’ programme

Lean is about doing things better, which in turn makes a business more profitable. Lean tools and techniques are helping companies across the globe to address competitiveness issues within their businesses, building the capability of their people to identify issues and improve their operations, increasing capacity as they improve efficiency and effectiveness.

If there is enough interest shown, LEO Wicklow will run the ‘Lean for Micro’ programme to assist a select number of established Wicklow Businesses to introduce and implement lean work practices in their business.

The programme looks at costs, cashflow, operational processes, lead times etc., and discusses how waste affects both profit and customer satisfaction.

Expressions of interest in the programme are being accepted, with provisions for a late 2018 start or early 2019.

The programme would comprise of five half-days with an experienced Lean Consultant from the Enterprise Ireland Lean Pane and vetted by LEO Wicklow. There would also be onsite meetings at participating businesses. A small participation fee applies.

The programme has run successfully for the past two years. For further details on the LEAN programme visit www.localenterprise.ie/Wicklow.
