Trad concert in aid of school music lessons

A TRADITIONA­L music concert in aid of St Patrick’s National School in Rathvilly will feature renowned guests and local artists.

The concert takes place in St Patrick’s Church on Friday, November 30, at 7.30 p.m.

The line-up will include Dave Sheridan and friends, Paul Bradley from Hollywood, Ger Fitzgerald, Áine Donohoe, Martin Quinn, Emer Casey from Donard and Charlie Solan. Local artists and talents will also perform on the night.

Tickets cost €10 and are available from the school, local post office or on the night.

Funds raised from the concert will go toward the Music Generation programme taking place in the school, whereby all second and third class pupils learn to play the tin whistle, while fourth, fifth and sixth class pupils have a choice of learning to play the fiddle, banjo, flute, accordion or mandolin.
