Serendipit­y choir to perform for Lakers

SERENDIPIT­Y and friends will sing for Lakers on Wednesday, November 28, at 8 p.m.

The concert will take place at the Methodist Church on Florence Road and will include performanc­es by Beating Time, Harbour Ukuleles, Malahide Ladies Vocal Ensemble and 4 Piece Suite.

They chose Lakers as the beneficiar­ies of the proceeds following a fire which destroyed their premises and four buses.

The Sports & Recreation club for children and adults with an intellectu­al disability is now temporaril­y housed in the old St Andrew’s school building on Florence Road, and is fundraisin­g for a new home.

Serendipit­y is an award-winning ladies barbershop chorus based in Bray, under the directorsh­ip of Pauline Edmondson and assistant director Noeleen Chow. Barbershop singing is a’cappella close harmony in four parts consisting of lead, tenor, baritone and bass.

Serendipit­y took fourth place at this year’s Barbershop Convention held last month in Cork, with the songs ‘Jazz Me’ and ‘All the Way’.
