Serendipity choir to perform for Lakers
SERENDIPITY and friends will sing for Lakers on Wednesday, November 28, at 8 p.m.
The concert will take place at the Methodist Church on Florence Road and will include performances by Beating Time, Harbour Ukuleles, Malahide Ladies Vocal Ensemble and 4 Piece Suite.
They chose Lakers as the beneficiaries of the proceeds following a fire which destroyed their premises and four buses.
The Sports & Recreation club for children and adults with an intellectual disability is now temporarily housed in the old St Andrew’s school building on Florence Road, and is fundraising for a new home.
Serendipity is an award-winning ladies barbershop chorus based in Bray, under the directorship of Pauline Edmondson and assistant director Noeleen Chow. Barbershop singing is a’cappella close harmony in four parts consisting of lead, tenor, baritone and bass.
Serendipity took fourth place at this year’s Barbershop Convention held last month in Cork, with the songs ‘Jazz Me’ and ‘All the Way’.
