Man fined €300 for cannabis found in car

A GREYSTONES man found in the unlawful possession of drugs has come before Arklow District Court.

Fintan Bennett with an address at 59 Rathdown Park, Greystones was stopped by gardaí at Croneyhorn, Carnew on April 10, 2018.

A search of a vehicle yielded what gardaí valued at €300 worth of cannabis but the defendant said that it was worth €170 and for his own use.

The court heard that there were no previous convictions.

A fine of €200 was imposed in court.
