Mo­tor­cylists raise €16,800 for Lau­raLynn

MEM­BERS of Le­in­ster Clas­sic Mo­tor­cy­cle Club and friends were proud present a hefty do­na­tion to Lau­raLynn Chil­dren’s Hospice.

The group raised €16,800 fol­low­ing their 2018 Cir­cuit of Ire­land fundraiser and re­cently set off from Castlepark in Ark­low to hand over the cheque at Lau­raLynn head­quar­ters.

This year was the sixth Lau­raLynn fundraiser run by the club rais­ing al­most €70,000 but the mem­bers have been fundrais­ing since 2001 and has raised al­most €285,000 for a var­i­ous char­i­ties over­all.

Event or­gan­iser Leonard Fitz­patrick said that he is over­whelmed by the genoros­ity of peo­ple to­wards the hospice.

‘It is a real credit to all mo­tor­cy­clists in­volved in rais­ing much needed funds for the hospice. We will take to the roads again next Septem­ber start­ing from Parkview House, Shil­le­lagh, to raise more funds for Lau­ralynn Chil­dren’s Hospice.’
