Motorcylists raise €16,800 for LauraLynn
MEMBERS of Leinster Classic Motorcycle Club and friends were proud present a hefty donation to LauraLynn Children’s Hospice.
The group raised €16,800 following their 2018 Circuit of Ireland fundraiser and recently set off from Castlepark in Arklow to hand over the cheque at LauraLynn headquarters.
This year was the sixth LauraLynn fundraiser run by the club raising almost €70,000 but the members have been fundraising since 2001 and has raised almost €285,000 for a various charities overall.
Event organiser Leonard Fitzpatrick said that he is overwhelmed by the genorosity of people towards the hospice.
‘It is a real credit to all motorcyclists involved in raising much needed funds for the hospice. We will take to the roads again next September starting from Parkview House, Shillelagh, to raise more funds for Lauralynn Children’s Hospice.’
