Minister officially opens Knockrobin care home
MINISTER for Health Simon Harris was on hand to officially open Knockrobin Hill Care Home in Wicklow town on Friday afternoon.
Knockrobin Hill Care Home is part of the Curam Healthcare Group and opens its doors following an €11 million investment. The facility has 100 en suite single rooms finished to a high standard, so as to provide a quality care setting for residents. On each of the three floors there are sitting rooms, lounges and beautifully appointed dining rooms where residents can relax and socialise and enjoy the many activities offered for their entertainment.
Knockrobin Hill offers long and short-term care, respite, convalescent and palliative care to the community.
The care team provide the residents with a broad range of services, including nursing care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, chiropody, hair and beauty therapy.
‘All staff are extensively trained and ongoing education for them is of the utmost importance,’ said a spokesperson for Knockrobin Hill Care Home. ‘ The priority is that residents live a full, independent and active life and are afforded the utmost respect and dignity from staff.
‘A detailed care plan is devised to suit each residents’ individual needs. A full activities programme is available which encourages participation in daily activities that promote physical, mental and social wellbeing,’ the spokesperson said.
