HOL­LY­WOOD GAA CLUB held their an­nual din­ner dance in Tul­far­ris last Satur­day night.

The club were cel­e­brat­ing a very suc­cess­ful year on the field from a thriv­ing Go Games to Se­nior foot­ball in league and cham­pi­onship.

The coaches and men­tors and club of­fi­cials from all lev­els were ac­knowl­edged as be­ing in­stru­men­tal in the club’s suc­cess at the var­i­ous lev­els.

The Hol­ly­wood GAA Club sup­port­ers were given a spe­cial men­tion and they def­i­nitely de­served the ac­co­lade of Best Sup­port­ers of the Year as they trav­elled all over the county to back their teams of all ages.

It was noted that this sup­port def­i­nitely made a dif­fer­ence to the teams when they needed a lift.

Play­ers of the Year awards were an­nounced on the night.

The fi­nal­ists for Se­nior Player of the Year were Harry Wil­son and Mikey Healy and with the votes be­ing split evenly they were an­nounced as joint win­ners.

The fi­nal­ists in the Ju­nior Player of the Year cat­e­gory were Dan Burke, Kevin Cullen and Stephen Burke with Stephen win­ning the award.

The Young Player of the Year fi­nal­ists were Con­all Byrne, Harry Houli­han, Matthew Kelly and the win­ner was the hugely im­pres­sive Robert Houli­han.

The most Im­proved Player of the Year fi­nal­ists were Mikey Healy, Robert Houli­han, Ross Tyrrell and Shane Kelly with Ross Kelly win­ning that one nar­rowly on the night.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to ev­ery­one and the best of luck to all in Hol­ly­wood GAA Club in 2019.
