Rathnew chalked up their second comfortabl­e Pat O’Toole Division 1 win in succession at they proved much too good for Arklow United B on Sunday. The Village ran out convincing 8-1 winners, with Jody Merrigan leading the way with a hat-trick and Josh Graham, Gary Byrne, Kristian Kearney, Eddie Doyle and Michael Anthony Doyle adding a goal apiece.

Division 3

Arklow Town are going along nicely in Division 3 and on Sunday they were comprehens­ive 5-0 winners away to Avonmore B.

Goals from Dillon Mordaunt, Gary Messitt, John Kearns and Conor Dodd had them four goals to the good at the break and Joe Ledwith added to their handsome tally after the interval.

Aidan Small bagged a double for Shamrock Celtic, with Glen McCarthy grabbing their other goal as they saw off Coolboy Rangers 3-1.

Ashford Rovers B proved too good for Ballywaltr­im, with Leon Murphy (two), Chris Sillery, Paul Conyard and Shane Farrell hitting the back of the net in their 5-2 victory.

Elsewhere, Robin Byrne was on target for Roundwood as they drew 1-1 with Aughrim Rangers, with Luke Brown replying.
