Wicklow branch outings and talks
EAST Coast Nature Reserve in Newcastle will host a garden bird workshop organised by the Wicklow branch of BirdWatch Ireland.
The workshop takes place on Saturday, November 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The meeting point is at the main entrance to the Sea Road at 10 a.m..
The workshop will include details about what birds to watch out for over winter, tips on identifying birds, how to make apple bird feeders and what foods attract different species, with a selection of foods available on the day from BWI.
Birds of Twelve Days of Christmas takes place at the Glenview Hotel on Tuesday, December 11 at 8 p.m..
Guests can expect an exploration, in word, image and sound, of birds linked to the song ,with some poetic licence, such as turtle doves, partridges and drumming woodpeckers.
On Saturday, December 15, a birdwatching outing takes place in Greystones Harbour which is also suitable for children. Meet at Greystones Marina at 10 a.m..
