LIGHTS ON FOR CHRISTMAS IN BRAY AND GREYSTONES
SANTA was overjoyed to see all the boys and girls of Bray last Saturday afternoon, as he arrived to help turn on the Christmas lights.
It’s Mr Claus’ favourite time of year so he loves nothing more than to see how excited all the children are at the start of the fesstive season.
Boys from St Cronan’s school sang their hearts out as part of the entertainment to herald the coming Christmas Season.
Santa arrived by truck and was happy to stay and have pictures taken with many of the youngsters there just to see him.
MC Ryan O’Neill from East Coast FM was there to introduce Cathaorleach of Bray Municipal District Pat Vance, Chamber president Pat Ó Súilleabháin, and of course the big man himself. Everyone gathered in the Civic Plaza right in the middle of Bray was full of cheer.
As they departed following the ceremony, they go to see a fantastic display of lights around the town.
Speakers encouraged mums and dads to shop local if they can, with free parking in Bray’s council owned car parks at weekends throughout December. The audience was also encouraged to watch Christmas movies at Mermaid, visit Santa at Killruddery, go to the Boutique Christmas market in Jim Doyle’s next week, and catch any number of candlelight concerts.
