SMILEY Charity Events presented a cheque for €7,750 recently, to Bray Community First Responders.

The money was raised at a charity event held in the Porterhouse in Bray held in memory of the late Sean Madden.

‘Smiley’s Charity Events’ was formed after Sean was tragically killed in a car crash in July 2014. Each year, they hold a Halloween fancy dress night for a different charity.

This year’s event was held in the Porterhouse on October 26 and was a great night.

Bray CFR said that they are very grateful for the funds, which will be used for three more public access defibrillators for the town of Bray, and two more defibrillators for use by responders when attending emergencies.

‘We can’t thank everyone enough for their support. We are delighted to have something so special in Sean’s memory,’ said a spokesperson.
