Hundreds expected at senior citizens party
SPONSOSRSHIP and donations are still welcome for this year’s community Christmas party for the senior citizens of Bray.
The party will take place on Sunday, December 16 at BIFE. Each year, the event is organised by a voluntary committee made up of representatives of St Fergal’s Family Resource Centre, Little Bray Family Resource and Development Centre, and representatives from the Bray Garda Community Policing Unit.
250 guests are expected to the Novara Road venue, for a delicious meal, music and dancing. Entertainment on the day will be provided by the Garda Band, the Berry School of Dance and Le Chéile Community Choir. Many of those invited are experiencing isolation, live alone, have mobility issues, or have recently lost a family member.
Funds donated go towards the cost of the party - the hiring of catering equipment, food, festive decorations, and raffle prizes.
‘We are forever grateful and indebted to the business community in Bray and surrounding areas, the court services, and those who provide generous private donations for their financial support,’ said a committee representative.
Donations can be made care of Sergeant John Fitzpatrick, Bray Garda Station.
