Coun­cil­lors agree on 15 es­tates

FIF­TEEN es­tates lo­cated through­out the county were taken in charge of Wick­low County Coun­cil af­ter agree­ment from all the elected mem­bers.

A de­ci­sion on Car­rig Mill in Grey­stones was de­ferred un­til the Jan­uary meet­ing of Wick­low County Coun­cil af­ter res­i­dents raised con­cerns with lo­cal coun­cil­lors.

‘ The res­i­dents aren’t happy and have some con­cerns that need ad­dress­ing. Cer­tain works aren’t yet com­plete,’ said Cllr Tom For­tune.

Cllr Gerry Walsh also met with res­i­dents of Car­rig Mill. He said: ‘ There are some out­stand­ing is­sues which res­i­dents want ad­dressed. They would like a guar­an­tee that these is­sues would be ad­dressed.’

Di­rec­tor of Ser­vices Seán Quirke said all out­stand­ing works would be car­ried out and a bond from the de­vel­oper would cover the costs.

It was agreed by all mem­bers present to take in charge Bal­ly­crone Manor (phase one) in Kil­coole, Bur­keen in Wick­low town, Cherry Glade/Walk­way in Del­gany, Cherry Hill in Del­gany, Church­fields in Del­gany, Clu­ain Ard in Ark­low, Clu­ain Ard Court in Ark­low, Glen­keen in Kil­coole, Hazel Hill in An­nacurra, Marl­ton Hal in Wick­low town, Rath­lu­ain in Dunlavin, River­side Heights in Ark­low, Rose­hill (old Town Coun­cil area) in Wick­low town and Wine­tav­ern Manor in Manor Kil­bride.
