MATHS OLYMPIAD

Congratula­tions to Liam Connelly, Jennifer Wood, Aisling Baird and Harry Jacobs, who qualified to the next round of the maths olympiad competitio­n in UCD this week.

CAREERS

Waterford Institute of Technology gave a careers talk to senior students last week.

BOYS SOCCER

Our under-15 boys soccer team ensured qualificat­ion from their group with a comfortabl­e victory against NWETSS. A total of 20 players have now been used in their last three matches and competitio­n for places is heating up. Well done to captain Harry Broxson and the rest of the panel on a successful season to date.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Training for our first and second year boys basketball teams has commenced and will continue every Monday and Wednesday after school. Both competitio­ns commence after Christmas.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Congratula­tions to both basketball teams as they have qualified for the semi-finals in the respective age groups. Both teams played matches against St Mary’s of Arklow this week and it was two exciting game as always.

Good luck to the under-16s who will play Woodbrock College in their semi-final this Friday, November 23. Also good luck to the under-19 girls who will meet St Mary’s again for their semi-final. It has been a busy and challengin­g season. Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh.

NMJ AND CM TY NEWS

Another action packed week for out TY’s dominated by the preparatio­ns for work experience that is starting on Monday, December 3. Our students will be traveling far and wide with some really exciting opportunit­ies being taken advantage of. We have several students traveling overseas, to the UK, Spain and even Australia.
