Love Bites Valentine show with music trio
Flo McSweeney and Carmel McCreagh will perform with Fiachra Trench at Whale Theatre on Thursday, February 14.
Take one part jazz diva, one part true rock chick, add a generous measure of gentleman of jazz, and the result is a cocktail of love songs, jazz standards, ballads, garnished with a twist of dry humour.
Carmel McCreagh, Flo McSweeney and Fiachra Trench have been bringing their show to audiences throughout Ireland to great acclaim. Songs by Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Sondheim, Joni, Jacques Brel and more are all presented with style and sass by this trio of renowned Irish musicians.
The Love Bites Valentines show returns to the Whale after a full house last year. Its a wry look at love and loss with songs by such composers and performers as Irving Berlin, Jacques Brel, Leonard Cohen, Duke Ellington, Melody Gardot, Mick Jagger, Lieber and Stoller, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Paul Simon, Stephen Sondheim, Tom Waits and many others.
