Knock­ananna re­flect on three-in-a-row

KNOCK­ANANNA Camo­gie Club cel­e­brated their Se­nior team’s three-in-a-row win on Satur­day last with a meal at Made­line’s restau­rant in Ti­na­hely and pre­sen­ta­tion of their league and championship medals.

A huge thanks was ex­pressed to Tom Byrne, trainer, on the night. Hav­ing beaten Donard in the county fi­nal, this year saw the girls come very close to a Le­in­ster win, los­ing by just a point, so hope­fully that will give re­newed mo­ti­va­tion for 2019.

‘A big thank you to Paddy and staff for a won­der­ful meal and dec­o­rat­ing the premises in our club colours,’ said a club spokes- per­son. ‘We also had some fun awards which added a fun el­e­ment to the night.

Congratulations was ex­pressed to Jessie Byrne on be­ing se­lected as Wick­low camo­gie player of the year which she will be pre­sented with on Jan­uary 19.

‘Play­ers player of the year went to Shan­nagh Goete­len and man­ager’s player went to Claire Byrne. All play­ers were pre­sented with a me­mento hurl for the three-ina-row.

‘The play­ers ex­pressed their thanks with a pre­sen­ta­tion to Tom, Serge, Tr­ish and An­gela.
