Wind farm funding of €46k announced

THE fifth round of the Raheenleagh Wind Farm community fund has been launched, with €46,000 in funding available to local groups.

Located within the Raheenleagh forest, Ballinvalley in Co Wicklow, the Wind Farm fund is open for applications until Friday, March 15 at 5 p.m.

Funding is available to support local organisations in the delivery community projects and initiatives which fall within one or more of the following broad themes:

Education and Skills, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Environment and Habitat Conservation, Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, Culture and Heritage, Recreation, Sport and Social Inclusion.

Since the launch in 2015, the Raheenleagh Wind Farm Community Fund has committed to investing more than €327,000 in 34 community projects within the vicinity of the wind farm in South Wicklow and North Wexford.
