Garda appeal after items found discarded in Arklow
GARDAÍ in Arklow are appealing for the owner of property believed to have been stolen over the Christmas period to come forward and claim it.
A number of brass ornaments were located discarded near Brookview Gardens before New Year’s Eve and investigating officers believe they were stolen from a property in the lower end of the town.
They appear to be a set which makes a farmyard scene as well as two candlesticks and figurines of fishermen.
A number of further break-ins were reported to have taken place in the southern part of Arklow over Christmas and New Year, with a particular emphasis on tools and electrical equipment.
In once instance, a wheelbarrow of stolen goods was discarded and found by a member of the public while items were also reported stolen from a shed and a workshop.
The incidents took place in the Harbour Road, South Quay and South Green areas of the town.
