Garda appeal after items found discarded in Arklow

-

GARDAÍ in Arklow are appealing for the owner of property believed to have been stolen over the Christmas period to come forward and claim it.

A number of brass ornaments were located discarded near Brookview Gardens before New Year’s Eve and investigating officers believe they were stolen from a property in the lower end of the town.

They appear to be a set which makes a farmyard scene as well as two candlesticks and figurines of fishermen.

A number of further break-ins were reported to have taken place in the southern part of Arklow over Christmas and New Year, with a particular emphasis on tools and electrical equipment.

In once instance, a wheelbarrow of stolen goods was discarded and found by a member of the public while items were also reported stolen from a shed and a workshop.

The incidents took place in the Harbour Road, South Quay and South Green areas of the town.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the gardaí at 0402 32304.
