Three new faces at the Carlisle

-

BRAY WANDERERS completed three very positive signings at the club ahead of the start of their pre-season friendlies which get underway this weekend.

Coming into the Seagulls squad ahead of their hopefully short stay in Division 1 are former Longford player Dylan McGlade, former Greystones stalwart Adam Hayden and former Cabinteely player Joe Doyle.

McGlade is certainly the most high profile of the three having being named on the Division 1 team of the year last season and being in the running for player of the season.

McGlade is a very good signing for Bray and will hopefully light up the Carlisle Grounds in 2019. Usually deployed on the wing, McGlade was given the freedom of the park with Longford.

Greystones native Adam Hayden will be a welcome addition to Cronin’s squad and the homegrown talent will hopefully see plenty of game time in the Seagulls jersey.

Former Cabinteely player Joe Doyle is another boost to the squad and Gary Cronin will no doubt be hoping that he can come back to haunt his former employers when the sides meet in the season opener in a few week’s time.

There are four very challenging games ahead for Gary Cronin and his squad in the coming weeks.

This Saturday sees Cronin’s side taking on Shamrock Rovers FC at 4pm at the Roadstone Sports Club.

On Friday, January 25 they travel to Abbotstown to do battle with St Pat’s at 7.30pm.

It’s a spin to Waterford on Saturday, February 2 to face Waterford FC at 3pm, and then it’s a home clash against Bohemians on Friday, February 8, at 7.45pm.
