45 CARD DRIVE

A very successful 45 Card Drive is ongoing in the Coolgreany Inn on each Friday night at 8.30 p.m., everyone is very welcome to come along for a good night of craic at the cards, and some lovely finger food thrown in for good measure. So please join us if you enjoy a game of 45.

VINTAGE CLUB

Just a brief reminder to everyone who wishes to become a member of the club to make applicatio­n immediatel­y, without being a member you may not be able to get Insurance for your Vintage Vehicles. We send birthday greeting to Callium Whitmore Croghan View, who celebrated his 10th birthday on last Sunday, January 13, also birthday greetings to Labhaoise Power Coolgreany Demesne, who celebrated her 11th birthday on Monday last January 14, also we send congratula­tions to Ann Bracken Thomastown, who will celebrate her seventh birthday on tomorrow, Wednesday, January 16.

GAA HEALTHY CLUB

CASTLETOWN LIAM MELLOWS GAA HEALTHY CLUB UPDATE: Now is your chance to get the New Year off to a good start. A five weeks session of Yoga with Maura starts on term Tuesday, January 8, to February 5. Class- es are from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the club house in Castletown. To book text Maura at 087 7866349.

Chair Yoga with Sarah resumes on January 7, at 10.45 a.m. in the Anchor Bar (side door into the function room) for a six weeks session. No need to book just come along and give it a go. Chair yoga lessens the impact of chronic illnesses and pain. It reduced stress and improves mental health. It is particular­ly good for anyone wanting to improve flexibilit­y and strengthen their joints after injury or illness.

If yoga is not your thing, why not come along on Thursday nights for some SOSA dance fitness. Low impact, high energy and tonnes of fun.
