WALKING CLUB

Upcoming walks as follows. January 20: Avonmore Way (Trooperstown-Rathdrum). Level B, 12km, 3.5 hours. Meet Tinahely 10 a.m. or Mill Bridge, Rathdrum 10.30 a.m. January 27: Ballineddan – Slievemaan. Level B, 12km, 3.5 hours. Meet Tinahely 10 a.m.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food and drink.

COFFEE MORNING

Wicklow Rose Lorna Mallick is hosting a coffee morning and raffle on Saturday, January 19, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. in the Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely. All money raised will go directly to Vesnova Children’s Mental Asylum Orphanage in Belarus. There she will volunteer with Adi Roche’s Chernobyl Children International in February. All support is greatly appreciated.

VARIETY GROUP

Tinahely Variety Group presents ‘Eclipsed’ by Patricia Burke Brogan from February 6 to February 9 in Tinahely Community Hall at 8 p.m. nightly. Booking essential and will begin Monday, January 28.
