Council houses rejoin stock

THERE will be eight council homes available soon, now that energy efficiency works have been completed at Oldcourt.

Cllr Joe Behan asked administrative officer Triona Irving for information about the houses during last week’s meeting of Bray Municipal District.

The properties were used as ‘decanting’ homes, for people to stay in while works were being done at their own houses.

Ms Irving said that the eight three-bedroom houses should be ready for occupancy at the start of March. She said that officials are now in the process of sorting out allocations.

Some residents will come from the list, where others will be from people who are up-sizing or down-sizing.
