‘Lightatend ofthetunnel’
A man who wrote ‘heartfelt’ letters to the judge and injured party was granted a probation bond and sixmonth suspended sentence.
Darryll Cassells (23), 16 Greenhills Court, Tallaght, was before Bray District Court for sentencing in relation to a charge of trespassing at a Killarney Road house on January 25, 2018.
Barrister Eoin Gallagher said that the letters before the court indicated self-awareness. He said that his client has been in treatment and is off methadone. He said that ‘there is light at the end of the tunnel’, for Castles.
A probation report before the court recommended the probation bond. Judge David Kennedy said that he had read the letters, which were ‘quite heartfelt’.
