Careless driving

A woman who hit a child with her car has admitted the offence of careless driving but has had the matter adjourned for mitigation.

Mary Connors (20), 31 Cloonmore Park, Tallaght was driving at Giltspur Wood on July 25, 2017 when she hit an 11-year-old girl.

The girl was crossing the road towards the tennis court.

While Connors initially left, she returned, saying that she had been trying to find the ambulance to direct to the casualty.

At Bray District Court last Thursday, the case was adjourned to February 28.
