Julietof Veronaplay

-

The play Juliet of Verona will take place at Whale Theatre on Friday and Saturday, February 22, and 23, at 8 p.m.

Tickets are €10 at whaletheatre.ie.

This is a brand new and exciting adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, presented by Making Waves Youth Theatre, and written by Ciaran Coogan, one of the founders of the drama group.

This is a new version of the story of star-crossed lovers, a story of two families at war, mischief, love and loss.

There is a twist to the classic story.

This is the first time the Making Waves troupe of young actors will perform at Whale Theatre.

The community youth theatre group was founded in September 2018 and is generously supported by Ross McParland of Greystones Studios and Whale Theatre. This is their first production.

Membership is open to teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18.

Workshops and rehearsals take place every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
