Historical society

The February meeting of the Greystones Archaeological and Historical Society will take place at the Family Centre beside Holy Rosary Church at the usual time of 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 21.

The speaker will be Philip Lecane, whose subject will be the sinking of the Dun Laoghaire/Holyhead mailboat, RMS Leinster, in October 1918.

Philip is a maritime historian and author of Torpedoed. The RMS Leinster disaster and

Mick Heffernan, Lorraine O’Brien and Emma O’Brien.
