AGB back from the dead

BLESSINGTO­N AGB 3-11 3-11

AGB produced a stunnig comeback to claim a share of the spoils in this entertaini­ng Division 1 clash in Blessingto­n last weekend.

Blessingto­n were looking to bounce back from their opening day defeat to Tinahely with a win over Damien Redmond’s side while the Arklow men were hoping to maintain their winning start after their defeat of Hollywood the previous weekend.

It was the home side who started better and took a 2-7 to 0-5 lead into the break thanks to goals from Curtis Geraghty and Mikey O’Connor.

However, AGB responded as only AGB know how and that was to take the game to their hosts with Philip Healy bagging two goals and JP Hurley firing a missile past Stephen Kitt.

AGB had a chance to win it late on but the free was sent wide ensuring a share of the spoils after a belter.
