BALTINGLASS KILTEGAN 2-15 1-4

BALTINGLASS showed absolutely no mercy in their dismantling of a Kiltegan side in their second SFL Division 1 game last weekend.

Johnny Keogh was the main eye catcher on display in this encounter between two old rivals with Kiltegan hoping to bounce back from their opening day defeat to Rathnew and Baltinglass confident of powering on afte their thumping of defending champions St Patrick’s.

Keogh returned four points for his evening’s work and there were fine performances from Adam McHugh, Chris Heaslip and Peadar Burke on the scoring front with Jason Kennedy in fine form at centre back.

Kiltegan face a very difficult task tonight (Wednesday) when they travel to Ballinakill to face Casey O’Brien’s St Pat’s in a rearranged fixture where a win would be badly needed by Geoffrey Bermingham’s men.

Sean O’Brien will send his men out to do battle with Alan Costello’s Tinahely on Friday night in what should be a cracker of a game.
