Lions gear up for grand final
THE BIG beneficiaries of last Wednesday’s Wicklow and District Lions table quiz were Coláiste Chill Mhantáin and the Blue Dolphins.
There was a great attendance in Fitzpatrick’s Lounge, with Tina Neiland, Pauline Carton and Ethna Neiland coming out on top. Declan McInerney, Bosco Guinan, Pat Sheehy and Ray St. John had to settle for a close second place.
Tonight, Wednesday, February 20, takes place in The Bridge Tavern and will raise funds for Move4Parkinsons and Wicklow Town Team. The quiz starts at around 8.30 p.m.
The final weekly quiz for the season will take place in Ernie’s Lounge in Wicklow for Ashford Beekeepers and Holy Rosary School. The grand final by far the biggest quiz of the year will take place in Wicklow Golf Club on March 6.
