ELEVATION DANCE HOLIDAY DATES

Our Modern Dance classes focus on Jazz, Lyrical, Acro Dance, Ballet ISTD and Commercial styles as well as ISTD syllabus work giving a well-rounded understand­ing of the Modern Theatre style. Classes are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre every Mon, Wed and Sat for all age groups and levels. Senior Advanced Contempora­ry Rep and technical training incorporat­ing classical, release, contractio­n and floor work. Saturdays: 10: 00 p.m. to 1 p.m. and Senior Dance Team.

THE BROCKAGH RESOURCE CENTRE

WICKLOW WILLOW

Our spring courses begin in February and are suitable for both beginners and improvers. All courses are full-day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and take place in the Brockagh Centre. They include materials, tuition, tea or coffee and lunch (with cake). You will make and bring home your own basket on the day. Courses cost €85 and booking is essential (vouchers are available and make a wonderful Christmas or birthday present). A deposit of €50 is required to ensure a place. Places are limited, so please book early to get the dates you want. Courses are available on the following dates but extra dates may be added if there is enough demand: Saturday, February 15, Sunday, February 23, Sunday, March 1, st, Wednesday, March 25, and Sunday, April 12. TAE KWON-DO

Children, teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentrat­ion, channeling aggression, balance, coordinati­on, speed, reactions, fitness and health. Call Master Kenneth Wheatley at 087 2547347 for further informatio­n. Classes are on Tuesdays at 7.45 p.m. to 8.45 p.m. (seniors and teens) in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. Children’s classes are on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. (4-7 years), 6.45 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. (8-12 years) in the Brockagh Centre.

ST KEVIN’S PARISH

Christmas Services are as follows: Triduum of Masses: Wednesday, December 18, at 9 a.m., Thursday, December 19, at 9 a.m., Friday, December 20, at 9 a.m. Christmas Triduum cards cost €3 and are available from the parish office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or after Masses.

Confession­s: Saturday, December 21, at 11 a.m. and from 6.30 p.m. (before and after 7 p.m. Mass)

Christmas Masses: Tuesday, December 24, Vigil Mass 9 p.m. (with carol service beforehand at 8.30 p.m.), Wednesday, December 25, 10.30 a.m.

In Memory of Loved Ones: We will decorate the Christmas tree in the church with stars again this year. They will be available in the sacristy and the parish office; on the back you can write the name of a loved one who you would like to remember. All names on the tree will be remembered at the two Christmas Masses. We ask for a small donation towards church expenses.

PARISH FOOD APPEAL

The Parish Food Appeal will take place on the first two weekends in December. Donations of non-perishable food stuffs, cleaning items and new toys would be greatly appreciate­d. All items will be given to the local conference of the St Vincent de Paul (SVP). Items should not be gift wrapped as SVP will need to see each one. A box will be left on the altar for the donations. The SVP would like to thank everyone for their generosity last year. If you know someone local who would benefit from a SVP donation, please contact Fr Crotty.

ST JOHN’S CHURCH

Christmas Services are as follows: Sunday, December 22: A service of lessons and carols will take place in St Saviour’s, Rathdrum at 7 p.m.

Christmas Eve, December 24: A crib service will take place in St Saviour’s Church at 6.30 p.m.

Christmas Day: St John’s, Laragh: 9 a.m. St Saviour’s, Rathdrum: 10.15 a.m. Glenealy Parish Church: 11.30 a.m.

PILATES CLASSES

Zara Elkinson Offering STOTT Pilates Matwork Classes based in Co.Wicklow. Both group and private classes available, Beginners and Improvers welcome. Like on Facebook @Pilates WithZara. EVENING YOGA WITH VIVA

Viva’s yoga classes for beginners to intermedia­te on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. (depending on nos) in the Brockagh Centre. Improve your fitness strength and flexibilit­y in a relaxing way. WE LOVE ART

Art and crafts classes for children of primary school age take place on Monday afternoons. Classes cover a wide range of art and craft techniques and processes, giving kids an outlet for creative self-expression while learning new skills. Classes are small and places must be reserved in advance, the first class is free for new students. Almha Roche is a profession­al artist and an experience­d and qualified art teacher. ADULT ART CLASSES

Moved now to Mon morning, drawing and painting classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experience­d painters. Students choose the medium (s) with which they wish to work, and develop their interests and personal style with Almha’s advice and guidance. If you are thinking of getting back into your art, or trying something new to explore your creative side, now is a good time.
