Greystones and Celtic to meet in the decider

- Charlie Byrne Cup

Greystones United and Shamrock Celtic will meet in the Charlie Byrne Cup decider after both came through their semi-finals on Sunday.

A David Sullivan double proved decisive as Greystones ran out 5-3 winners against a gallant Ballywaltrim side.

Stephen Kearney, Neil Melia and Dan McKenzie hit the back of the net for Ballywaltrim, who got their noses in front on three occasions, but each time Greystones had the answer, with Oisin Kehoe (penalty), Kyle Howard and Danny Walters hitting back, before two Sullivan goals eventually sealed the deal.

In the other last four clash, Shamrock Celtic defeated fellow Division 3 title-hopeful Avonmore 2-0, with Darren Collopy netting both goals.

The final has been fixed for Saturday, September 19, at 2 p.m. at Celtic Park in Arklow.

Wicklow Cup semi-final

Rathnew set up a date with either St Peter’s or Newtown United in the Wicklow Cup final after overcoming Division 3 side Greystones United on Thursday evening.

The Village ran out 5-1 winners, having fallen behind to an Oisin Keogh penalty.

Mark Doyle, Jonah Graham, Gary Byrne and Jody Merrigan (two) got the goals for Rathnew.

Thomas Scott Cup semi-final

Aughrim Rangers booked a meeting with Arklow United in the Thomas Scott Cup final after edging out Roundwood 3-2 in their final four clash at Allen Park last Wednesday evening.

Pádraig Byrne, Dylan Rochford and Eoin Forsyth scored for the winners, with Allen Harris and Kevin Lynch replying for Roundwood.
