Mary’s marathon raises €2,600 for Greystones Cancer Support
MARY KILLILEA did a ‘walk a marathon in a month’ for Greystones Cancer Support.
With outstanding support for both the national and international community, Mary raised the phenomenal figure of € 2600 for Greystones Cancer Support.
She began her challenge on June 8, and completed it on June 20, walking an average of three to five km most days.
The marathon is 42.195km in length, and Mary completed 43.5km.
Mary O’Neill and Anne Doody of GCS were delighted to accept the cheque last week.
Support came from far and wide – including London, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Beijing, Malaysia and Perth and all over Ireland!
