Donnelly to get Covid test

HEALTH Minister Stephen Donnelly is to be tested for Covid-19 after becoming unwell on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Donnelly felt unwell earlier following yesterday’s Cabinet meet in Dublin Castle and is now understood to be seeking a test for the virus following discussion­s with acting chief medical officer Dr Ronan Glynn.

Mr Donnelly was due to take parliament­ary questions in the Dáil on Tuesday evening but will now not be in a position to attend.

A Government spokespers­on was not immediatel­y able to provide further details about the Fianna Fáil Minister’s condition.
