Deadline for the Restart Plus Grant Scheme

THE closing date for local businesses to apply for funding under the Restart Grant Plus Scheme is September 30.

The Restart Grant Plus is a key part of the government’s July €7.4bn Stimulus package designed to stimulate a jobs-led recovery and build economic confidence while continuing to manage the impact of Covid-19.

The scheme is being administered by Wicklow County Council and provides financial aid to local businesses towards the cost of re-opening or keeping a business operational and re-connecting with employees and customers. The grant can be used to defray ongoing fixed costs, e.g. utilities, insurance, refurbishment or for measures to ensure employee and customer safety.

Applications are invited from qualifying businesses in the county who have not previously been approved for funding under the initial Restart Grant Scheme. Businesses that have been approved for funding under the initial Restart Grant were emailed a declaration which must be returned to Wicklow County Council to secure the additional funding.

For first-time applicants under Restart Grant Plus Scheme, the minimum grant is €4,000 and the maximum is €25,000.
