Fined and banned from driving

A man received community service of 220 hours in lieu of sentences of three months and five months at a recent sitting of Bray District Court.

Florian Muntean ( 44), Rathmore Country House, had previously admitted having no insurance or NCT at Bollarney on July 9, 2018, as well as a similar breach on the N11 at Kilmacanogue on August 10, 2018.

A community service report was before Judge David Kennedy last week who said the defendant was a suitable candidate.

For the July matter he was given 100 hours of community service , a fine of € 500 and a four year disqualification from driving.

He was fined a further € 200 for having no NCT on the same date.

For the August 10 case he was given 120 hours of community service, a fine of € 500, and a six year disqualification.

Non- display of tax was taken into consideration by Judge Kennedy.
