Parking ticket fine

AN AUGHRIM woman received a fine for not displaying a valid parking ticket at last week’s sitting of Arklow District Court.

Aisling Kirwan, 18 Aughrim Oaks, Aughrim, was not in court to answer a charge of non-display of a valid parking ticket at Riverwalk, Arklow on August 23, 2019.

Giving evidence, Wicklow

County Council’s parking warden said on the day in question, at 12.52 a.m., he observed a Volkswagon car with a parking ticket that had expired at 10.42 a.m. He issued a fixed penalty notice at 12.55 a.m., but this was not paid.

Judge David Kennedy imposed a fine of €241 with three months to pay.
