Extension to nursing home planning
PLANNING has been extended by five years for a proposed 90 bed nursing home in Roundwood which was originally granted permission in 2016.
Ras Ventures Limited submitted a planning application with Wicklow County Council looking for an extension of the duration of life of the planning permission granted for the development at Roundwood Park Estate.
The 90 number bedroom care home, with en-suite bathrooms, will be set in a tranquil setting in the Roundwood Park Estate behind and in between the open countryside and a mature woodland with the Vartry Reservoir in the eastern background of the subject site.
The care home will be constructed as a part two, part three storey building with a gross floor area of some 6,981 sqm.
Wicklow County Council has agreed to an extension of the planning granted for a five year period up to and including September 4, 2026.
Planning also includes landscape developments such as formal gardens, parkland and a paddock for farm animals. Water will be supplied by another part of Roundwood Park Estate. Minor improvements off-site to the local road linking to the R764 are also required.
