Ex­er­cise­for over-50s De­men­tia sup­port

Ex­er­cise pro­grammes for the over-50s usu­ally take place each Wednesday at Shore­line Leisure at 12.30 p.m.

The ses­sions help with flex­i­bil­ity, strength, con­fi­dence, bal­ance, co­or­di­na­tion and mo­bil­ity. Classes will re­sume in a num­ber of weeks af­ter the health is­sues are re­solved.

Ad­mis­sion is €5 per ses­sion.

Wicklow De­men­tia Sup­port usu­ally holds a num­ber of events in the Grey­stones area, which are can­celled for the mo­ment.

‘Mu­si­cal mem­o­ries’ takes place each Friday morn­ing at St Pa­trick’s Church Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There are of­ten vis­it­ing mu­si­cians and there’s usu­ally a turnout of around 30 peo­ple, in­clud­ing peo­ple with de­men­tia, their fam­ily car­ers and vol­un­teers.

A fam­ily car­ers sup­port group meets on the third Friday of each month, also at St Pa­trick’s, from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This is a fa­cil­i­ta­tor-led, peerto-peer sup­port group.
