Nostalgic trip back to 1950s

-

The Whale Theatre will play host to an evening of nostalgia tomorrow (Thursday) evening.

An evening with Jean Farrell takes a look at life in Ireland during the 1950s and ‘60s, taking a trip down memory lane to remember happy times, full of hopes and dreams.

Written and presented by Jean Farrell and featuring singer Ursula Hanley, the show features stories from the past, interwoven with lovely Irish ballads and songs learnt in school long ago

Evocative and poignant, it will bring the audience back to a time of mothers of ten and the wonderful dance halls, filled with music, youth and vitality.

Jean Farrell is the successful Irish writer behind the play ‘ The Six Marys’, which has been performed in theatres all around Ireland.

The show takes place at 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, at the greystones theatre. Tickets cost €20/€18 and are available from www.whaletheatre.ie or 01 2010550.
