Shaking Bog launches podcast
THE SHAKING BOG Festival has launched a new podcast
The biennial festival, which was held in Glencree Valley in 2019, will be joined by a podcast that aims to keep the dialogue between art and nature alive throughout the year. This seasonal podcast will celebrate the abundance of nature and biodiversity through a carefully crafted tapestry of readings, reflections and conversations - from a range of writers, artists and others engaged in the understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
The first edition of the podcast, which has an autumnal theme, is available on the festival’s website.
It includes a conversation with writer and sheep farmer Selina Guinness, readings from acclaimed poet Vahni Capildeo, a reflection from writer, historian and lover of trees Thomas Pakenham, a conversation between botanist and pollination expert Professor Jane Stout and artist Gráinne Cuffe and a reading and reflection from poet Sean Hewitt.
The podcast is a collaboration between the Shaking Bog festival, Coillte Nature and the Mermaid Arts Centre.
