- BRENDAN LAWRENCE

BRAY EMMETS progressed to the final of the under-13 ‘B’ hurling championship when they defeated Michael Dwyers in an entertaining and skillful semi-final in Ballinakill on Saturday morning.

Bray Emmets possessed plenty of very good hurlers, among them Senan Croke and Ronan Hogan while full-forward Matt McGovern proved very dangerous on the day as they secured a place in the final against Carnew Emmets on a score of 5-3 to 3-2.

Dwyers were well served by Conor Boland, Jack Manifold, Noah Hayes and Malachy Byrne on the day in a game that was in the balance well onto the closing stages with Bray’s ability to pounce for the vital goals a massive factor in the victory.

Bray and Carnew whould be a very entertaining final.
