GREENWAY SURVEY
To all North Wicklow residents and visitors. If you are interested in a safe walking and cycling route for kids and adults to help get to school work and leisure, off main roads and connecting with bus and rail lines from Greystones/Kilcoole to Glendalough via Newtownmountkennedy’ could you please fill out the survey to be found on line at https:// www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ MountainsToSeaGreenway or on your local social media Facebook etc.
This is being organised by Newtown 2050 on foot of the highly successful fundraising drive Strictly Newtown dancing in 2018. It forms part of a feasibility study for a Greenway linking the Uplands to the Sea and creating a more accessible, integrated, prosperous and environmentally focused community.
It is critical to have a say and give views for good and bad about whether you support such an effort and or want to get involved. We in particular want opinion from the rural areas especially farmers looking to farm diversification as part of their future. It also forms part of the Newtownmountkennedy Smart Village 21 initiative by the EU, and informs a response to the Covid Epidemic.
