County council to consider taking in charge twelve housing estates
WICKLOW County Council intends to consider making an order so that a number of housing estates can be taken in charge with their roads declared as public roads.
The move to take the states in charge is in accordance with Section 11 of the Roads Act, 1993 and Section 180 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000.
The housing estates are Ardglass, Baltinglass; Deerfield, Delgany; Hillview, Carnew; Kirvin Hill, Rathnew; Oakdale and Oakwood Court in Arklow; Pierview, Seahaven and Westmount
Court in Wicklow; The Willows and Village Gate in, Kilcoole; and Upper Ballard, Shillelagh.
Maps of the housing estates showing the roads and open spaces to be taken in charge may be inspected at the offices of the Planning Directorate of Wicklow County Council, County Buildings Station Road, Wicklow town during normal opening hours by appointment or online www.wicklow.ie until October 31. Objections or representations may be made in writing to Breege Kilkenny, Director of Services, Planning, Development and Environment, no later than November 16.
