Daire O’Connor leaves Cork City

-

DAIRE O’CONNOR has left Cork City by mutual consent.

The Arklow man has been at Turner’s Cross since 2019 but will play no further part in their bid to avoid the drop having departed on Monday, October 5.

City boss outlined to O’Connor that his game at the club would be limited and the parties agreed to part ways prior to the transfer window closing which means O’Connor is now free to seek a club outside the Republic of Ireland with Northern Ireland or England the most likely destination.

O’Connor’s exit from Leeside was met with dismay by City fans on social media who seemed aggrieved to lose one of their ‘most talented’ players as they sit at the foot of the table with just five fixtures remaining.
