A YOUTH has been arrested following an armed robbery in broad daylight last Saturday afternoon at Bray Barber Shop.

Two youths, with one brandishing a knife left staff and a customer at the shop terrified, shocked and very shaken.

At around 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon the thugs who were wearing hoodies pulled up on their heads entered the barber shop that is situated on the busy Dublin Road. One of the thugs stood at the door-way so as to block customers coming in or anybody who tried to leave.

The other who was holding a large knife threatened the only male customer in the shop and demanded money. The man handed over the only change he had in his pocket, €2.80. The thug pinned a hairdresser against the wall with the knife at her neck and demanded she open the till.

The two culprits then made a run for it and ran out of the shop in the direction of Dublin.

One of the hairdressers ran out of the shop after the two and screamed for help from passers-by but nobody came to her assistance.

Gardaí recovered a hoodie close to the scene and examined CCTV footage.
